Star Smitten

My heart is definitely star-smitten
Splendour that you can never imagine
As you stare into the gleaming sky
Shooting stars and dreams pass by

For me to witness such a display
My wonder can not be taken away
A stellar glee has filled my soul
In my life, I've never felt this whole

Antares and Sirius shining brightly
Castor and Pollux, a celestial family
Pointing out all the constellations
Comets and asteroids are such revelations

As I watch from afar, a twinkle in my eye
If only to the galaxy, I'd be able to fly
My wishes, in the stars they are written
All of me is indubitably star-smitten.
