The Fire Within
Beneath the skies of endless gray,
Where dreams once whispered, now astray,
A soul was lost, adrift, unkind,
The echoes of a voice confined.
Through storm and silence, doubts would grow,
A path ahead, too dark to know,
Yet deep inside, a flicker burned,
A silent flame, a heart that yearned.
It started as a single spark,
A glimmer in the cold and dark,
The ember of a distant dream,
A faint, forgotten, silent gleam.
In shadows thick, where courage fades,
She stumbled through the endless shades,
Her steps unsure, her mind a maze,
Yet still the flame refused to graze.
Each step was heavy, every day,
A battle fought, but none would say
The strength it took to move ahead,
To rise again from where she bled.
She questioned if the fire was real,
Or just a trick her mind would steal.
The fear of failing, the weight of doubt,
A burning force that screamed to shout.
But through the storm, the flame did fight,
It blazed against the endless night.
And slowly, like the rising sun,
She felt her strength begin to run.
The fire within her sparked anew,
It painted skies of brilliant hue.
No longer bound by past regret,
She found a voice she won’t forget.
Each step now echoed with her power,
Her purpose rooted like a flower.
The flame no longer hid from sight,
It soared with wings, it burned so bright.
Through all the scars that marked her skin,
She found the truth was deep within.
The fire was never far away—
It lived inside, it led her way.
The struggle, pain, the dark unknown,
Were lessons learned, and seeds were sown.
For in the heart, where fire lay,
No storm could take her light away.
And in that fire, fierce and bold,
She found the strength to break the mold.
For in the depths of who we are,
Is where our fire burns the farthest star.
Where dreams once whispered, now astray,
A soul was lost, adrift, unkind,
The echoes of a voice confined.
Through storm and silence, doubts would grow,
A path ahead, too dark to know,
Yet deep inside, a flicker burned,
