Hollow

There is no worse feeling than
no feelings at all.
Feeling nothingness is the worst
kind of pain we could ever understand.
Nothingness eats you up from the inside out
and stays until you are empty. Until you are hollow.
And once you are hollow,
you forget who is most important to you.

You take those people and you blame your hollowness on them,
simply because you couldn’t possibly describe the feeling of no feeling.
And then they leave.
And it’s your fault.
But you still cannot admit it.

Because that is what being hollow does to you.
It takes everything from you until you have nothing left.
Until you are no longer you,
but only a silhouette of the person that you used to be.
The person you long to be again.
