Betrayal or self love

There I was walking ahead, 

and there you were walking along.

I loved you with the biggest portion I had inside of me,
And you tried giving it all back and kept failing miserably.
And the 'me' woke up suddenly famishing inside,

She needed her portion back in order to survive.
I scraped the bits from the portions I gave you,
And realized that wasn't enough for me to walk through.
So here I am standing still, 

and there you are walking away.
