The Memory of a Melting Snowflake

From swirling clouds, a delicate descent,
My crystalline journey, heaven-sent.
Each tiny facet, intricately spun,
A fleeting portrait, blessed by winter's sun.

I am the Snowflake, unique in my design,
A vessel holding memories, pure and fine.
The winds I danced with, in the upper blue,
The other kindred flakes, I drifted through.

A whispered secret, caught in frozen light,
Before my landing, on the world so white.
A warm embrace, a gentle, tender sigh,
As earthly surface draws my spirit nigh.

A shimmering tear, upon the waiting ground,
My intricate structure, slowly unbound.
The edges soften, and the clarity begins to blur,
A silent letting go, without a stir.

My journey's essence, now begins to seep,
Into the earth, where hidden memories sleep.
Each crystal melting, a release so mild,
My story whispered, to the ground, undefiled.

The wind's soft current, now a distant hum,
My brief existence, its sweet cycle come.
No longer form, but substance, pure and free,
A tiny whisper, for eternity.

My unique existence, now a gentle art,
Released into the earth, from my cold heart.
A gift to soil, a nutrient for roots,
From icy whispers, life's new promise shoots.

The memory fades, yet in the earth's deep core,
My journey's echo, lives forevermore.
A transient beauty, melting into grace,
My unique spirit finds its tranquil place.
