The Journey of a Letter

Folded with care, sealed with a kiss,
A letter begins its voyage of bliss.
In trembling hands, its tale takes flight,
Bearing words crafted in the hush of night.

Through bustling towns and quiet lanes,
Over golden fields and silver trains,
It whispers secrets, it carries dreams,
A vessel of hearts, stitched at the seams.

To lovers apart, it brings the moon,
Promising reunions that can’t come too soon.
To a mother’s lap, it carries a tear,
From a distant child she holds so dear.

It knows of longing, it knows of regret,
Of words unspoken, and those hard to forget.
It bridges the silence, it mends the divide,
A fragile thread where hopes reside.

But time may fray its once-bold hue,
Creased by hands it journeyed through.
Yet its message endures, as clear as the start,
A testament to the human heart.

So let it wander, from heart to hand,
A letter, a journey, a love so grand.
For in its travels, it softly connects,
Souls entwined in its quiet effects.
