A Day in the Life of a Cloud

I wake with the sun, a whisper on the breeze,
A soft, silver thought adrift on a sea of blue seas.
I stretch through the sky, a canvas unfurled,
My edges like brushstrokes in the vastness of the world.

I begin my journey, drifting so free,
Over mountains, through valleys, and across the great sea.
The winds are my guides, the sky my domain,
No borders to hold me, no shackles, no chain.

I float over forests, where the trees bow in grace,
Their leaves a soft murmur, a calm, sacred place.
The rivers below hum a song of their own,
Telling tales of the earth, of seeds that have grown.

I pass by a city, its towers of stone,
The people below like ants in their zone.
I wonder if they ever look up to the sky,
And dream of the clouds, as they float gently by.

The sun starts to shift, casting shadows of gold,
And I, the cloud, begin to unfold.
The air grows heavy, a storm stirs my soul,
A deep rumble hums as I start to roll.

I gather my might, a thunderous roar,
A flash of light cracks the sky at its core.
The rain falls in torrents, a wild, fierce dance,
While I weave through the heavens, caught in a trance.

I feel the world below, its thirst being quenched,
The soil, the trees, the flowers are drenched.
Each drop I release is a gift, a song,
A reminder of how we all belong.

And then, like a sigh, the storm starts to wane,
I shed my fury, my thunder, my rain.
I return to my form, a soft, drifting white,
Hovering gently, basking in the light.

As dusk begins to settle, I float through the night,
A quiet observer in the stars’ gentle light.
The world sleeps beneath me, the earth resting deep,
But I, the cloud, am still awake, wandering in sleep.

For I am a wanderer, a part of the sky,
Boundless and endless, I soar and I fly.
I think of the rain, the rivers, the trees,
How all of nature is bound by the same ancient pleas.

So here I am, free, but forever a thread,
In a tapestry woven, where all life is led.
A cloud, a wanderer, in the great cosmic sea,
Reflecting on freedom, and nature’s harmony.
