Healing the child in Us

Are we ever old enough to understand?
All the intricacies that life can demand
Adults can be just as lost as the children
We'll always be left to wonder 'til then
Those dragged out of their childhood

Never really experienced what's good
Missed out and said that they never cared
But deep inside they're as lonely & scared
Those who's making up for the lost time

Healing your inner child is never a crime
All the things that they were cheated out of
Be it material or something as abstract as love
I hope we all get to give joy to the child in us

Because time won't, so we're the ones to adjust
I know it will give some sort of satisfaction
Maybe, this is what we all need for interaction.
